Welcome to the Trinity River Book Festival (TRBF), a magnificent multicultural event established in 2022 and held during National Literacy Month. Our professional team at TRBF is dedicated to engaging readers, supporting authors, and cultivating new readership while showcasing the literary heritage of Fort Worth, Dallas, Mid-cities and beyond, and highlighting the literary interests of current residents and visitors. 

With a focus on integrating a healthy lifestyle alongside festivities, we kick off the festival with the invigorating Run-to-Read, featuring a 5K race and a 1-mile fun run. This unique experience combines the love for literature with physical well-being, creating an energizing atmosphere. TRBF is structured to inspire, entertain, inform, and empower individuals, families, and communities alike. With a diverse range of panels and discussions covering various topics, attendees can expect an enlightening and enriching experience at our festival. Whether you are an avid reader, aspiring writer, or simply interested in immersing yourself in the world of books, TRBF offers an unparalleled opportunity to celebrate the written word and connect with like-minded enthusiasts. We have partnered up Our Kids Read Free to host the first ever Oak Cliff's Our Kids Read Book Festival at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center.

Our Kids Read Free Book Festivals are celebrations of books and reading! Join us to celebrate reading and books in community:

- Brows and select free books, each young reader receives 2 free book to take home with them

- Movement & Storytelling by Raquel Zamora of Coyote Rock, 1:30PM Hour

- Master Storyteller Len Barnett of Percussion Things, 2:30PM Hour

- Bookish Craft Station Don't miss this opportunity to explore diverse books that celebrate language, identity, cultural heritage, imagination, curiosity and endless possibilities.

Soul of Sycamore Juneteenth Culture, Music, & Art Festival

Presenting poetry, authors, and community conversation.

• 1-5 pm: Juneteenth Author Showcase

• 3 pm: Juneteenth Poetry in the Park

• 3:45 pm: Community Conversation on “What does freedom look like?”

A free poetry festival open to all that will include classes on craft and getting published, readings by distinguished poets (Pushcart winner and a poet laureate of Corpus Cristi), open mic, children poetry, and the Dallas Shakespeare Company. Co-sponsored by the Fort Worth Poetry Society and the Grapevine Public Library.

The DFW Poetry Fest is an annual celebration of the many poets who are writing and publishing in the DFW metroplex. Join us in the backyard of The Wild Detectives on June 1st from 6:00-9:00pm. Our new Dallas Poet Laureate, Mag Gabbert, will kick off the reading. The event will be broken into 3 reading blocks with breaks in between to mingle, grab a drink, and buy books from these local poets. Check out the full lineup below:
