Take a minute to submit a literary event in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex that you’d like to see on our calendar.

Calendar FAQs

  • The following list are literary events that could be featured on the calendar. This is not an exhaustive list: author readings, author talks, book launches, author signings, literary festivals, literary conferences, literary readings, poetry readings, open mics, writing workshops (open to the public), writing seminars, networking event for creative writers, etc.

We will not promote private events or events that are not located in public spaces (no private residences).

  • The literary event must be in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area. This includes literary events in any of the DFW suburbs.

  • You will need to submit by the 15th of every month to ensure that your event is included on the calendar for the following month. For instance, if you have an event on August 13th, you should submit by July 15th to ensure that the event is posted before August 1st.

  • Unfortunately, no. You will have to submit a Google form for each literary event, even if it does occur monthly. This is mostly to ensure that we do not miss an event and so that you can provide updated images to promote the event.

  • As of now, we have one person managing the website so we need all the help we can get from you to promote your literary event. We may not have the time or the bandwidth to go find DFW literary events that are not submitted to us. If our web manager has extra time, they may be able to do this occasionally, but we ask that you submit.

  • Our goal is to create a literary calendar for the DFW community. We will maintain this calendar in such a way that is intersectional and inclusive of all races/ethnicities, sexual and romantic orientations, disabilities, gender identities, nationalities, etc.

We will not promote literary events that harm historically marginalized communities in any manner or have created an unsafe or unwelcoming environment for attendees or historically marginalized communities.
