Join us for an evening with Rena Pederson, a trailblazer for women in Texas journalism and author of four books. Her latest, The King of Diamonds — The Search for the Elusive Texas Jewel Thief, was released by Pegasus Books in April 2024.
Ms. Pederson served on the Pulitzer Prize Board and was recognized as one of Texas Monthly's most powerful women during her 16-year tenure as Vice President and Editorial Page Editor at The Dallas Morning News. She has interviewed world figures such as Margaret Thatcher, Fidel Castro, Princess Grace, and Julia Child. Her first book, What’s Next? was featured on Oprah Winfrey’s show and in various prestigious publications.
Recently, Ms. Pederson has taught at Southern Methodist University and served as Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications at the U.S. Department of State.
This year's event is being held at the Dallas Museum of Art in the Hamon Atrium, 1717 N Harwood St, Dallas, TX.

Proceeds from "A Diamond Date" will benefit the city’s 29 branch libraries, the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, and its nearly 500 staff members.
Funds raised contributes to the many educational programs offered by the DPL, helping to elevate literacy and education throughout the Dallas community.
